XYZ Celebrates Christmas

The morning of 25th December 2014, was an unusual Christmas morning for the members of XYZ. In various parts of the city, excited children, volunteers and some parents and even grand-parents clambered on to their buses, each carrying a goodie bag stuffed with biscuits, chocolates, toiletries etc. that they were gifting to the underprivileged children and the elderly that day.

The Darius’ Daredevils and the Cyrus’ Superstars together visited the elderly housed at the PAREKH DHARAMSHALA. Homai’s Heroes, Jamshed’s Giants and Behram’s Battalion gathered together to visit the MANAV SEVA SANG in Matunga. The Tehmurasp’s Titans and Rustom’s Rockstars together visited the CAMA CONVALESCENT HOME at Bandra.

At each location the children went round meeting the residents, wishing them and giving them gifts to spread the festive cheer. They sang Christmas carols, often joined by the delighted residents! After thanking the authorities of each of these places for allowing us an opportunity to visit their homes, the XYZ members and their families drove to the Bhikha Behram Well for a Humbandagi and for a short and informative talk by Er. Ramiyar Karanjia.

The small space around the Kua was packed with over 300 happy faces at a morning well spent. It was wonderful to be able to celebrate Christmas with the true spirit of giving and by thanking the Divine for all that each of us is blessed with.
