XYZ Games

Xtremely Young Zoroastrians from all over the city came together for their second event this year – XYZ GAMES

352 participants and 60 volunteers gathered early morning on Sunday, 15th February 2015, each dressed in their team colors at the Cusrow Baug Pavilion. The games were divided into 8 bases or challenges. Each team was made up of 10 children of varying ages and was guided by a team parent. The team with the best overall timings would become the champions.

Some games were based on skill, others on speed and some others on strategy. There were obstacle races, blind man’s guide, balancing lemon on board, balloon bursting, ball in bucket, chain making and a relay. The grand finale was a tug-o-war between the top 8 teams. This allowed all the children to participate and help their teams to the best of their own abilities.

It was heartening to see the older children mentor and support the young ones as they took on the different challenges. The Tug-o-War saw great excitement and cheering as the teams were cheered on by the crowd.

The event closed with the prize distribution ceremony. The XYZ GAMES Champions were the Darius’ Daredevils team and the runners-up were Homai’s Heroes, who received their prizes and trophies from our supporter Mr. Dara Hansotia.
